gruffalo book for kids- Book Reviews by ZenParent

Written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler; “The Gruffalo” can easily be regarded as the most imaginative, hilarious of books your little tot can lay hands on.

The story is about a mouse walking in a treacherous jungle, fearlessly encountering some whopping enemies with a quick-thinking, menacing description of a character straight out of his ingenious imagination, called the ‘Gruffalo’. The fascinating description of this monstrous creature is beautifully put in a rhyming form, making it all the more intriguing for kids. The scariest of animals, including a fox, an owl and a snake get petrified with the depiction of this chilling Gruffalo and let the mouse alone, for their own good. Imagine the mouse’s utter amazement, when he comes face to face with the Gruffalo, a hungry one at that!

ZenParent Says: This book is definitely not to be missed by any book lover. You can follow this up with several more books from this series for more Gruffalo Games, Fun and Activities.
