Dreamworks’ newest animated feature, “Home,” will take your kids though a world invasion. Our world, to be precise!

This skilfully animated 3D movie is based on a popular children’s book “The True Meaning of Smekday” by Adam Rex. With all elements to capture a child’s fancy, like aliens known as ‘The Boov’, who invade Earth to inhabit it and catchy jingles like “Towards the Sun” and “Feel the Light”, this movie promises to be a good holiday movie for kids.

Families on Earth split up as The Boov enter the Earth  resulting in huge shuffling and chaos, and Tip (voiced by Rihanna) is separated from her mother — which could be somewhat upsetting for some children. She teams up with Oh (Jim Parsons), the most human-friendly of The Boov, and a thrilling adventure then takes you around the world to finally reunite Tip with her mother! The invaders and their large ships could be a little startling, ergo parental guidance and at one point it looks as though a main character dies (though that’s not the case). There’s also some amount of toilet humor, but not much by way of strong language, all in all making it a good edge of the seat entertainer!
