Procedure:

Pita bread

  1. Mix the water and yeast together, and let it sit for about five minutes until the yeast is dissolved and frothy
  2. In a large bowl add the whole wheat flour,salt and olive oil(optional),the above yeast mixture and mix well .Add little by little water to form a little loose dough
  3. Knead the dough well for 5-6 minutes until smooth.if its sticky, powder or sprinkle some flour in your bowl .try kneading again.
  4. The dough should be placed in a vessel with some oil coated and wrap with a plastic wrap
  5. Let it sit for 2-3 hour until it is doubled .
  6. Divide the dough into medium sized balls.take each ball and gently flatten each piece lightly. Sprinkle the pieces with a little more flour
  7. Using a rolling pin flatten the bread into a circle about 1/4 inch thick
  8. Heat a Non stick pan.lay a rolled pita, when bubbles start appearing .Flip it and cook for 1-2 minute.The pita should start to puff up
  9. Repeat this process with the left over balls

Hummus preparation

  1. In a blender add all the ingredients and blend until smooth.If needed, can add a little bit water and in between scrap down the insides of blender if needed.

Serving

  1. Spread the surface of pita bread  with hummus and top it with veggies Sprinkle with oregano,salt and red chilli flakes
