The due date is :
So you think you might be having a baby? Yippee! But when, exactly? We understand that this isn't the time for you to be breaking your head with calendars, charts and menstrual cycles, which is why we have a pregnancy calculator to make things easy for you.
Simply enter the details of your Last Menstrual Period in our pregnancy due date calculator and we'll do the rest!
How is my due date calculated?
Our pregnancy calculator calculates your due date based on your Last menstrual period (LMP). This is calculated by adding 280 days (40 weeks) to the first day of your last menstrual period. For example, if your LMP date was June 12th 2016, then your due date will be March 19th 2017. Do note that this calculation is dependant upon the length of your menstrual cycle, which you can customize in our due date calendar. For most people this number is 28 days.
How accurate is the Estimated Due Date?
Your pregnancy due date is an estimate of when your baby will come. In fact, on an average only 5% of births take place exactly on the estimated due date. Most are born within a week either side of the estimated due date.
How many weeks is a normal pregnancy?
A normal pregnancy can last anywhere between 38 and 42 weeks. Note that your menstrual period and ovulation are counted as the first two weeks of pregnancy. Which means that if you deliver on your due date, your baby is actually only 38 weeks old, not 40.
Do follow our pregnancy week-by-week calendar to find out more about the incredible changes happening in your body and in the baby inside you!
