And when it comes to Bollywood mommies, we all know how much they sweat and slog it out to stay fit and fabulous. However, running on the treadmill or striking a few yoga poses is not the only route to weight loss. What you eat matters too and our celebs know it way too well.

While you might have heard a lot about size zero diets and other fads our stars follow, we tell you one big secret that has kept them in shape all these years. Breakfast! Yes, here’s what your favourite Bollywood Mommy starts her day with. Follow her and eat your way to a svelte figure!

1. Shilpa Shetty Kundra

Shilpa Shetty is synonymous to weight loss and her fitness website and yoga videos are proof enough. Well, Shilpa loves to have a king size breakfast and that she believes has helped her become what she is today. She starts her day with a protein shake, 2 dates, and 8 black raisins. On days when she has an early breakfast, she has a mid-morning snack, which is mostly a fruit. Shilpa also believes in including a lot of fruits and seeds in her breakfast.

“I have a very balanced meal plan. I just eat depending on what I feel like on that day but I make sure it’s balanced. Like some days it’ll be porridge with almonds and a dash of milk with coconut sugar,” she says.

2. Aishwarya Rai

Who wouldn’t want to know what the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai eats in a day! While mommy dearest admits she likes to keep it simple and homely, when it comes to Aaradhya’s meals, the former Miss World follows the same too.

Ash starts her day with a glass of warm water with lemon and honey. This is followed by brown bread toasts and oats for breakfast. Other than this, she also snacks on fresh fruits and dry fruits every two hours.

Yoga freak Lara is particular about having a nutritious breakfast and hence avoids eating anything that is high in carbs. Lara prefers a low-fat, high protein breakfast and hence resorts to milk, porridge with fruits and an omelette. Now, that’s pretty easy! Right mommies?

4. Malaika Arora Khan

Who would believe she is a mommy to a teenager! Age is just a number for this yummy B-town mommy and her rigid diet and exercise are the secrets, we think. That said, Malaika is very particular about eating a nutritious meal, but enjoys variety. For breakfast, Malaika’s diet includes healthy and filling foods such as eggs, multi-grain toast, idlis or poha. A bowl of fruits and lots of water are two things she simply cannot do without.

5. Rani Mukerjee

Rani, who recently bounced back to her pre-pregnancy weight, took her own, sweet time to lose all the baby fat. And during her weight loss journey, Rani stuck to a healthy diet. She started off her day with 1 egg white, museli and a glass of fruit juice, giving her the needed nutrition for the rest of the day.
