“When will you have a baby?”

Ask any woman between the age group 20-40. If they have not had a child, being perpetually hounded by well-meaning aunts and uncles (to say nothing of parents!) becomes a lifestyle hazard. For career women, this is usually harder when you have to choose between having a child with that ‘safe someone’ who is available right now or waiting for the right man to come along. The career would also need to be manipulated that way.

We doff our hats to these celebs who have had a baby post 40!

That’s right, the age when people say it is impossibly hard or too risky, well these celebs prove them wrong.

The face of the “stay unfair” campaign, Nandita 48 years old, belies her age and looks radiant even today.

Diana Hayden was 43 when she gave birth to her daughter Arya. The former Miss India had  her child through the egg freezing method. This usually entails going to your fertility specialist every month to collect eggs that a young woman’s body produces. She said, “I froze my eggs for two reasons: I was busy with my career at that time and, more important, I was very clear that I was going to wait to fall in love and marry before having a baby.” More power to you girl!

For a woman choreographer to survive in a cut throat industry like Bollywood, Farah had to put in crazy hours and work extremely hard to arrive where she is today. Today as she puts up instagram pics of her three children wearing each other’s clothes or just chilling, one comes to the conclusion that children at 40 can be a blessing!
