6 Things You’ll Do Differently as a Second-Time Mom

May sound cruel, but, the first-born children are really guinea pigs of new parents with whom they learn to do their new role.  All the results of the trial and error methods they experimented during their first-time mom will benefit them when they get into their second time around.

Here are the top six things mothers do differently during their second-time pregnancy:

1.     Not worry much about the milestones:

Once you enter your second time round of motherhood the most significant difference happens is the approach to the milestone of the baby. While with the first baby you will be eagerly documenting every little milestone. Worried if the child is not able to reach the milestone or feel excited when he reaches fast. This time, however, even though you will feel excited when your little one achieves major milestones, you tend to overlook minor milestones. Similarly, you may not even worry if the child shows some delay to reach the milestone. You will have a notion that your child is developing properly this time.

2.     Get over the clothing craze:

With your first child, you will be more particular about the clothing. You make sure everything from cap to socks everything matches. You may take a lot of bibs and several pairs of for even a small walk. However, this time you may not only worry much about the clothing of the baby, you don't take it as a crime if not changes outfit as soon as baby drool or spit up. And, more often, you may make your baby wear hand down clothes of your elder one.

3.     Welcomes help:

When you become first-time mom what you lack most was trust. You never trust anyone, even the baby's father to take care of your baby. You want to do it all by yourself. Result? Physical and emotional issues. This time, however, you will be a more "social" mother.  You not only let others take care of your child, this time, you may even come with a plan to divide the baby chores with other members of the family. This is what we call "Practical Mom"

4.     Stop being a germophobe:

With your first child, you will really be a germophobe. You may think all the microbes in this world are targeting your little one.  You won't let anyone touch your child before using a sanitizer.  Wiping down toys with organic "toy wipes", boiling bottles, pacifier, etc, at least two times per day, wiping the grocery shopping cart with sanitizer and wipes, etc are gone stories when you enter your second-time motherhood.  You can naturally wipe the fallen toy with your sari or shawl and give your baby to continue his play without even thinking about "organic toy wipes".

5.    Your manthra will be  Relax more & worry less:

You may emotionally feel more relaxed during your second time motherhood. If even a sneezing of your baby worried you during your first course, this time you have a better idea what to expect. This will help you face the issue s in a more relaxed manner.

6.     Washing will not be "waste of energy":

During your first pregnancy, you tend to wash baby's cloth separately. Actually, "separately" in a much broader sense. You may use separate baby friendly detergents, separate buckets to soak the baby's clothes, may not use the washing machine to ensure more "hygiene" wash. After washing, soaking in disinfectants to" kill" the germs. Makes sure that the clothes are dried in sunlight. Even a small piece of cloth nappy is properly ironed.  Oh! my god! It was a quite long process. However, most of the second time mother admitted that this time they use to wash the baby's cloth in washing machine sometimes even with their own clothes. All the other energy looting processes are minimized. With an elder child to run after and taken care of no wonder, you opted washing with minimal energy expenditure.
