Algernon Moncrieff, a typical English dandy, decides to woo Cecily, the young and pretty ward of his friend John Worthing, who is in love with Algernon’s cousin Gwendolen. Both gentlemen are quite confident that a few deceptions are quite healthy for a good romance – but chaos ensues when their deceptions lead to strange twists in their love stories!
Law School Productions, the theatre society of NLSIU Bangalore, presents their annual production, which is a fundraiser for a not for profit organization called Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access (IDIA) that provides access to legal education for children from underprivileged backgrounds. This year, they bring to you an adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s iconic play The Importance of Being Earnest. Sit back as they recreate this timeless comedy for you – watch this farcical comedy to be transported to a quintessentially Wildean take on the eccentricities of the Victorian upper classes.
