What’s this Tour about?
First stop – Dosa! A pancake made with rice and lentil paste, stuffed with different variants (Potatoes, cottage cheese, veggies!) Walking towards Patherghatti, the guide will take you to one of the local favorite Dosa shops for a delicious Dosa to start the Hyderabad Food Walk!
Second stop – Spices! Walk through the spice market at Old Hyderabad as you indulge your senses in these brilliant mouth watering fragrances. Pick up a few for your home or friends!
Third stop – Brunch! It is the time for Nahari Kulcha, Roti Kheema and Bhaja curry, all of which are famous in Old Hyderabad and prepared with recipes closely guarded and passed down generation to generation. If you’re lucky, you can get some Biryani too! Apart from Biryani, you also get Naan and Marrg (soup), lukhmi (patty) with mince meat, kebab and Patther ka Ghosht. After dining, there is a menu for desserts/ sweets- Double ka Meetha, Khubani ka Meetha with Malai or Kaddu ka Meetha. If visitors are interested there is a place for sweets unique to Hyderabad, namely- Badam ki Jali, Maske ka Louz and Ashrafi (sweet with the monogram of Nizam gold coin).
Fourth and final stop – Hyderabadi Biryani! The Hyderabad Food walk ends at a place where the most famous Hyderabadi Biryani is served! Remember, the trick is to try everything to keep space for more!
