It’s never too early to have this conversation with your child!

As adults we know that it is never too early to have a conversation about “What do you want to be when you are grown up”.  This conversation is not so much about how useful it is or for how accurate the answers are, but it opens up your child’s mind to possibilities and tells you how they are thinking about jobs and careers. Start a dinner table conversation with your child today about what they want to be when they are grown up!


  1. What do you want to be when you are grown up?
  2. Do you want to do what daddy/mommy does?
  3. What do you think are the most exciting jobs to have?
  4. Will you do a job that is exciting but does not pay you well?
  5. How did you find out that you would like to be an XXX?
  6. Do you think it is easy to become a XXX?(Child’s goal)
  7. If you don’t become XXX what else could you be?
  8. You have to work really hard to become an XXX- are you ready?
  9. Do you think daddy/mommy work really hard or is it easy to make money?
  10. Can you tell me what you can do to earn 1 Rupee tomorrow?
